Mr. Ignatieff does not recognize a basement from a foundation ["Ignatieff presents views on Squamish and the economy," The Chief, March 27].

I amwriting today to express my disgust with a specific minority of residents of this town who display an almost unimaginable lack of respect for the rest of this community and our environment.

Regarding the article on the STV campaign in the current edition ["Locals peddle new STV electoral system," The Chief, April 10], I miscommunicated a factual item to you and I need to remedy this error.

These days council is immersed in the budget. Budget deliberations are the most intensive piece of work we do annually. This year is a tough one.

All this attention to the homeless these days certainly can make you feel good somewhat ["Homeless shelter goes ahead," The Chief, April 10].

The Winter Olympics in Vancouver brought thousands of people into our region from around the world. At least two of them arrived with a disease now rare in Canada: measles. The result was an outbreak of the disease in British Columbia.

I attended the forum by "Western Canada Wilderness Committee" and "Save our Rivers" at the Sea to Sky Hotel on March 31st and am concerned that much of the information presented was inaccurate.
