Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) opened for the 2023-24 season on Nov. 24, one day after  began to welcome skiers and snowboarders from across the globe.

In spite of nominal snowfall in recent weeks, WOP has been able to treat cross-country skiers and clubs to a pair of bonus weekends on "Callaghan Gold": a 1.5-kilometre trail made of 10,000 cubic metres of snow held in reserve from last winter.

Early season conditions are in effect, and the park is only open on weekends until snow accumulation is sufficient to provide over 10 kilometres of viable terrain. Access is open for skiers only until further notice, with trails groomed for both classic and skate-skiers of all experience levels. Booking for lessons is also open.

While the cafe is closed, the Day Lodge (which includes the Guest Services desk, washrooms, boutique and rentals) is running, as is the nearby guest waxing hut.

Discounted day tickets begin at $25 for adults and $16.50 for youth aged seven to 18.

Earlier this year, WOP hosted  where  became the first Canadian woman to earn a ski jumping gold medal in the event.

Guests are encouraged to visit for updates on Callaghan Valley operations throughout the winter.
