The Sunshine Coast Peewee Rep Blues can't seem to find an answer for the Squamish Eagles.
For the second time this season, Squamish defeated the Blues, but Saturday's contest in Sechelt was much closer than the previous game in which Squamish won handily.
The Eagles scored goals in the first five minutes of the second and third periods and staved off a late charge from the Blues to pick up a 2-1 win.
Eagles goalie Corey Koop was the difference in the game as he made a number of big stops, including several in the scoreless first period.
"He was a huge factor for Squamish," said Blues coach Brent Parker after the game.
"I think he kept them in the game in the first period. We took it to them and we got a few by him in the first, I think the flood gates opened and we won the game."
Parker said overall he was happy with his team's performance, but naturally was hoping for a different outcome.
"It was a good game by both teams," Parker added. "Our guys worked really hard and it's just too bad they weren't rewarded with a win."
Dalton Thrower and Logan Aldridge, whose third period goal was of the highlight-reel variety as he went top shelf, beating Blues' goalie Ryley Dempster, scored Squamish's goals. Tanner Slee and Dylan Mooney picked up assists on Logan's goal.
