The Canadian Home Builders' Association of Northern 小蓝视频 has a new executive officer.

Katherine Carlson, formerly the executive director of the Central 小蓝视频 Railway & Forestry Museum, takes on the role left by Terri McConnachie, who was with the association for the past 11 years.

"Katherine brings the experience and attributes we need to support the association's continued growth, to skilfully advocate for our members, and firmly position us as the voice of residential construction in our region,” said Angèle Heinrichs, association president, on behalf of the board.

“Her passion and history of leadership in delivering programs, education and public events will continue to elevate us. We warmly welcome Katherine to the association."

An alumna of the University of Northern British Columbia, Carlson's roots are proudly entrenched in Prince George. With a passion for travel, endless learning, and experience in non profit organization leadership, she is an active volunteer as an invested Rotarian and a membership lead with Team Rubicon Canada.

"I believe that leadership is the spearhead that propels an organization forward," Carlson said.

"At the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Northern 小蓝视频, this means advancing through advocacy, education, and the latest in building technology. I’m thrilled to connect with and collaborate with industry leaders, represent the industry's voice, contribute to equitable policy-making, learn from various stakeholders, and both encourage and be inspired in professional development endeavours aimed at benefiting the industry and consumers alike.”

Carlson has officially assumed the position as of Monday, Jan. 6.
