VANOC plan lacks class

What sense is that when they have to mix it up with ferry traffic from the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island.

But wait, here is a twist. Here on Bowen Island, we are being told that residents and visitors renting on the island will have to stay overnight on the mainland in order to access bus transportation to Whistler.

So you have just rented that private residence on Bowen and you now find out that you have to stay overnight on the mainland in a non-existent hotel/motel room that was booked months ago. How is this going to work?

We have a large contingent of snowboarders who are Olympic participants, and they face the same experience when they try to get from the island to Cypress.

Has there been any significant changes that have taken place to resolve this transportation situation or are we still hanging out there?

What about visitors coming from Vancouver Island and other ferry challenged communities? I have yet to hear of any expansion plans from 小蓝视频 Ferries that will see earlier ferry sailings to eliminate this problem.

As the public transit provider here on Bowen Island, I am very concerned about the lack of any attention paid to my community and others facing the same lack of support.

We support the Olympic efforts in many ways, from buying Olympic plates for our bus fleet to promoting the Games to tourists, both local and foreign. For this we see buses drive through your community and unreasonable accommodation plans for residents of Bowen and renters who are just finding out they need to rent elsewhere in order to get to Whistler.

Sure sounds First Class to me.
