Editor,
I am utterly disgusted with Al Price's editorial "Jaded journalist has a (tentative) change of heart" (The Chief, March 4). I thought his article was profoundly disturbing and extremely unprofessional. My family has sat back and listened to Mr. Price's vendetta for years now; it has been very frustrating not to respond in the past. I feel your anger towards my brother has become personal.
To be able to forgive someone takes strength and empathy; we need our youth to grow and learn to do just that. We want to direct them away from anger and break the cycle of violence. Mr. Price, I must ask - is there really a friend in Terrace, or is it a voice in your head that just won't go away? You are giving mixed messages; the anger you show and terminology you use doesn't teach our youth forgiveness.
You need to keep your twisted suggestions to yourself. You may very well be a respected man in this community, so you might want to try and keep it that way.
