Two Squamish soccer players, Alia Rogers and Estelle Joel, are bringing home some bronze hardware from Denmark this week.
Both play for the girls' U14 North Vancouver Football Club, in B.C’.s Premier League, which won the bronze medal at the Dana Cup.
The cup, held July 24 to 29, is an international youth soccer tournament in Hjørring, Denmark.
It is the country's largest sports event and one of the top-ranked youth tournaments in the world.
The , representing Canada in the games, only allowed one goal over seven games and placed third out of 58 teams from eight countries worldwide in the under-14 age group.
Both girls started playing soccer in Squamish before moving to the North Van club.
The gold medal game was played between the U.S. and Norway on Saturday with the U.S. winning 2-0.
