Squamish climbers: Lillooet Ice Climbing Festival returns end of January

Vendor Village, gear demos, and clinics available on both days.

It is icy fun for enthusiastic climbers.

This non-profit event is intended to be a gathering of like-minded ice-climbing enthusiasts in one of the premier ice destinations on the west coast of Canada," reads the event description.

The weekend starts with a meet-and-greet gathering at the .

Both days offer a Vendor Village and gear demos.

There are clinics on both days. For example, on Saturday, there is an session, a clinic on with renowned alpinist and a with mountain guide .

The weekend also includes a slide show, speakers and a dance party.

Tickets are available for $10.

The festival is presented by Squamish's Climb On Equipment and Danny O'Farrell, in partnership with Black Diamond Equipment, Arcteryx and CAMP.
