Donald Hector Robson
Dec. 5, 1955 to Dec. 29, 2024.
Don passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his beloved family and his loyal dogs. Don was a man whose kindness, generosity, and gentle nature touched all who knew him.
Growing up in Squamish, Don's life was filled with adventures—whether he was fishing, dirt biking, playing pool, or hanging out with his close friends.
Don had a green thumb, enjoyed being out in nature, and was a non-judgmental person who would help anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. He found fulfillment in the simple moments that brought people together.
Family and friends were always welcome to drop in for a visit, enjoying his good sense of humour and warm hospitality. Don had a number of cherished dogs throughout his life, with Marina, Betty, and Tuffino being his most recent loyal companions.
Don began his working years at Weldwood Sawmill before spending many years at the helm of Squamish Tug and Squamish Water Taxi on Howe Sound.
Don is predeceased by his father, Bob Robson, and his sister, Deb Robson. He will be deeply missed by his loving spouse, Lorna Rodd; his mother, Ethel Robson; his brother, Gary Robson (Jan); and his sister, Brenda Robson.
