At approximately 6 a.m. Saturday morning, Squamish Fire Rescue members were on the scene of the house fire on Myrtlewood Crescent.

"The home sustained significant damage and one person was taken to Squamish General Hospital for assessment," a spokesperson for the District said in an email to The 小蓝视频.

A member of the family posted to social media Saturday that everyone was OK, but the family cat was missing.

The cat was later found safe, according to an updated post.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation, according to Squamish Fire Rescue.

The 小蓝视频 has reached out to a member of the family. We will update this story if they want to comment.
