If life were a box of oil paints, most of the colour would be in Squamish.
The Sea to Sky is chockablock full of talented artists of all kinds, and the annual , set for Nov. 1 to 28, will showcase many of them.
According to Katherine Kunze, operations consultant with the , there are 64 artists whose works will be displayed at 22 local venues.
Artists include Alecia Childs, Caroline Routhier, Heidi Manicke, Dave Petko, Thomasina Pidgeon, Toby Jaxon, Una Polevena and student artists from local schools.
Venues include places like and and also new venues such as , and , which will be displaying art by differently-abled youth.
Kunze said for folks who may be new to town or the ArtWalk, she hopes they come away with an introduction to all this town has to offer.
"Part of our walk is introducing people to the different artists around the Sea to Sky but then also some of it is getting foot traffic into the different businesses around town," she said. "And, we can find cool ways to pair art and businesses."
Since the ArtWalk is in November this year, it makes a good opportunity for people to get some of their Christmas shopping done by purchasing local pieces of art. Many venues allow art sales with zero commission, meaning all the money goes to the artists, Kunze noted.
There will be a tear-out map of ArtWalk locations in The 小蓝视频 on Nov. 4, Kunze said, as well as locations and video studio tours on the social media.
