Over four dates starting July 22 and running until September 3, the university will be hosting screenings starting at dusk — bring your blankets and lawn chairs
"I am excited that we have the opportunity to open our campus up to the community for a series of movie nights this summer," said Quest University president George Iwama in a news release.
"Quest is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains, which makes it an ideal space for outdoor events. With COVID restrictions loosening, we are happy to be able to host events again for the public -- in a way that is safe and fun for the whole family. I would like you, our community, to feel more comfortable and familiar with our campus. I look forward to welcoming you to one or more of these shows."
Starting tonight with Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, family-friendly films Iron Man, Monsters University and La La Land will be shown in that order.
Organizers ask that attendees dress appropriately for cooler evening air, and check the website for start time details. In the event of rain, the event will not be cancelled but will be moved to an indoor venue. Seating opens one hour prior to dusk.
Snacks and free bottomless popcorn will be provided.
The movie nights are sponsored by Fortis СÀ¶ÊÓƵ, Sea to Sky Gondola, Squamish СÀ¶ÊÓƵor, Garibaldi Active Wellness, Nesters Market, Urban Alpine, Grounded Sustainable Grocer, and Locavore Bar & Grill.
