Illuminated mirrors recalled by Health Canada due to fire and shock hazard

The RH brand of mirrors was made in China and sold between September 2015 and October 2021

Health Canada has recalled a batch of illuminated mirrors due to a potential fire and shock hazard.

for the RH Illuminated Mirrors, warning people to stop using them immediately and to contact RH for a full refund.

The recall involves RH’s Illuminated Mirrors sold in a variety of styles, including those with an aged brass, antique pewter or dark steel finish, which use either Type G 1W LED or 5W incandescent bulbs, with a manufacturing date before February 2021.

The SKU number and date of manufacture are printed on a label on the back of the mirror.

The affected products were made in China and were sold from September 2015 to October 2021.

According to Health Canada, there are loose components in the bulb socket that can lead to over-current and overheating, posing fire and shock hazards.

As of March 3, 2022, the company has received two reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

In the United States, however, the company has received 63 reports of incidents and no reports of injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled RH Illuminated Mirrors and contact RH to determine if their product is affected and obtain a refund of the purchase price.
