Squamish Chamber of Commerce: February recap and exciting updates for entrepreneurs

Youth Business Pitch and mentorship events at Squamish Chamber of Commerce鈥擧ow to get involved.

The February Après 5 was hosted by , a promising organization providing workspace for entrepreneurs in Squamish in need of laser cutting, sewing machines, 3D printing and more. 

We were also excited to launch our first 'Youth Business Pitch' with Howe Sound Secondary, a new program formed in partnership with the chamber and HHS to further engage their entrepreneurship students beyond the classroom. 

Moving forward, the Chamber will host four youth events per year, comprising one 'Youth 小蓝视频' business mentorship event and one 'Youth Business Pitch' event per semester. 

The business pitch events will be open to the public for registration and held at the HSS theatre at the end of each semester. 

Upcoming, we are excited to provide an advocated workshop on 'Protecting Your Profits', presented by traditional lender expert Sarah Lloyed with BDC and non-traditional lender expert Nicola Fairweather. 

This workshop will be held on March 14th at the Public Library in Squamish and will provide points on navigating rising costs and inflation, effective growth strategies, and expense management. 

This session is ideal for businesses with a minimum of 24 months of operation. Tickets are available on our website.
