Sunday, Nov. 12, marked Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
hosted a celebration that included food, music, prayer and, of course, light at the local Gurdwara (Sikh place of worship).
Premier David Eby issued a statement to mark the day.
"Today, 小蓝视频 and other parts of the world will light up as people celebrate Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights," he said in an emailed statement.
"Diwali is a sacred time for Hindus, Sikhs and Jains as they celebrate the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. To mark the occasion, many people will light rows of candles, diya lamps and lanterns in their homes, temples and communities," he added.
"Diwali is a time of community, connection and culture. It also reminds us that the many cultural communities in 小蓝视频 make our province strong, vibrant and bright.
"Happy Diwali to all who are celebrating."
