The showed gratitude to a Squamish councillor for his support over the years.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, two regional members from BACA gave a letter of thanks to Coun. John French for his support throughout the years. The letter, which addressed French as “Champion for Squamish,” was framed and handed to French at a local park near London Drugs.
The organization works to protect youngsters who have suffered documented abuse.
“The Greater Vancouver Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) wants to thank you for your support and efforts over the past two years to assist BACA in gaining community exposure and expanding our impact in supporting abused children within the Squamish area,” reads the letter.
“[BACA] exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live,” reads the website for the organization.
French told The 小蓝视频 later that day that the support he had given was to spread the word about the work the organization does.
The organization started in Provo, UT and has since expanded internationally. There are 22 chapters in Canada with five in 小蓝视频 and chapters in 18 countries in total.
