Whistler residents living north of the resort take note: a grizzly bear is once again roaming the area around the Rainbow neighbourhood.
The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) alerted the public through its channels on behalf of the Conservation Officer Service (COS) on Sunday, June 18.
Residents are reminded to: leash all pets when out walking; correctly manage garbage and attractants, including barbecues, bird seed and hummingbird feeders, and pet food; and maintain 100 metres of distance.

Meanwhile, the COS has also received reports of a yearling black bear cub accessing and damaging parcel deliveries in the Millar's Ridge, Timber Ridge and Cheakamus neighbourhoods.
"As a reminder, unattended and unsecured food is classed as an attractant under Whistler Bylaws. Consider alternative arrangements for deliveries of food items if you will not be home when they are due," the RMOW said.
