A 小蓝视频 nurse was disciplined for skipping shifts for the Fraser Health Authority's COVID-19 Deployment Team, while still accepting pay.

A Fraser Health Authority nurse has been suspended for two weeks for failing to show up for work as a member of the authority’s COVID-19 Deployment Team.

A May 26 consent agreement between the 小蓝视频 College of Nurses & Midwives and Ryan Jay Tambanillo noted that he was deployed to various sites to supplement pandemic staffing shortages and provide immunizations.

A college inquiry committee found Tambanillo engaged in professional misconduct in failing to show up for four shifts without notifying anyone. Further, the committee found that Tambanillo was late or left early on three other occasions without justification or notification.

“Sites were left without the intended staffing levels on these seven occasions, and the registrant accepted full pay for the shifts he either did not attend at all or did not attend in full,” a discipline notice said.

The notice stated that Tambanillo did cooperate with the college during the investigation and acknowledged that his actions did not meet the professional expectations of a nurse.
