The case of a 小蓝视频 man facing securities fraud charges in connection with incidents between 2018 and 2020 returns to court in early April as the accused completes an application for legal aid assistance.

The 小蓝视频 Securities Commission (小蓝视频SC) said in October 2024 that Vancouver man Gregory William Lawrence was charged with three offences under the 小蓝视频’s Securities Act following an investigation by the regulator’s criminal investigations branch.

The 小蓝视频SC said Lawrence made his first appearance in court Oct. 20 on charges of fraud, making a misrepresentation to an investor, and making a false or misleading statement to 小蓝视频SC staff.

The misconduct allegedly took place in Vancouver and Burnaby between October 2018 and June 2020.

Lawrence appeared before Judge Nancy Adams on Tuesday.

The court heard Lawrence is applying for legal aid and needs to submit further documentation.

Lawrence was released on $1,000 bail after being arrested Oct.19 in the Vancouver area.

The 小蓝视频SC said Lawrence is accused of offences under the act that carry the possibility of imprisonment, probation, fines and/or other financial orders.
