小蓝视频 Hydro has tapped Ram Consulting to handle the planning, design, engineering, and construction of new transmission lines and distribution systems, Ram announced today.
小蓝视频 Hydro has earmarked $36 billion in capital spending over 10 years, much of which will be for expanding 小蓝视频’s power transmission and distribution networks.
Ram announced today it has been awarded “a significant contract for up to 20 years" by 小蓝视频 Hydro.
Under the agreement, Ram will provide planning, design, engineering, project delivery, and construction management.
"Being selected by 小蓝视频 Hydro for this vital contract underscores Ram's reputation for delivering excellence in engineering and project management,” said Ram president Joe DiPlacito.
"This contract is an exciting opportunity to grow a team dedicated to 小蓝视频 Hydro's advancement of transmission and distribution systems across the province,” said Monique Staals, Ram’s director of project delivery. “As load growth and aging infrastructure continue to stress the current system, Ram will play a pivotal role in enhancing reliability and efficiency of the grid."
The Ram contract is the second 小蓝视频 Hydro has awarded in recent weeks.
At the end of April, Stantec also announced a major contract with 小蓝视频 Hydro worth $186 million. Under that contract, Stantec will provide transmission and distribution services, as well as substation design.
