Children's plush robes recalled due to fire hazard

The critter style robes were sold across Canada at Urban Kids stores

Almost 7,000 children’s robes sold across Canada are being recalled due to a fire hazard.

The “all-over print” robes, which came in various styles and sizes XS through to large, were sold in Urban Kids stores, which has several locations across the Lower Mainland and in 小蓝视频

, the robes may not meet flammability requirements of the Children’s Sleepwear Regulations and Urban Kids is recalling the robes, in “an abundance of caution.”

The affected products were sold from November 2021 to December 2021.

Urban Kids has stores in Metrotown, Burnaby, Central City, Surrey, Tsawwassen Mills and in the Cottonwood Centre in Chilliwack.

“Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body,” read the Health Canada recall notice.

What to do

Stop using the recalled Children’s Robes immediately and dispose of the product or return the robe to Urban Kids for a refund.
