Almost 800,000 air fryers sold in Canada and the U.S. are being recalled due to a fire hazard.
Certain models of Insignia air fryers and air fryer ovens were sold in both countries by Best Buy, Amazon and on Ebay.
Customers are being told by Health Canada that the fryers can overheat, “posing a potential burn and fire hazard.”

So far, there have been 36 reports of incidents including one report of minor injury in Canada.
In the U.S., the company has identified 68 reports of incidents including one report of minor injury.
